· Insert CD in CDRom drive (duh!) and wait for setup to begin
· If setup does not start automatically, use Windows Explorer to open the CD drive folder and double-click “Setup.exe”
· Follow the installation prompts until setup ends
· Occasionally pop-up error messages may occur asking about a “Read Only” file; click re-try and the program should continue
· Rarely a pop-up message may state that a certain file couldn't be registered or other problem was detected. Generally, this may mean that a program might be in use already. Shut down all applications that might be running and attempt to try the installation again. In some cases, simply clicking “Ignore” on the error box is sufficient.
· If requested, restart computer before attempting to use ezScriptWriter
· Once the setup program has completed, find the desktop icon for ezScriptWriter and double click.
· Read the Software License Agreement
· Understand your requirements to preserve patient confidentiality (i.e. to use secure passwords and limit access to your computer network)
· Design a sensible backup plan (low cost options could include: NTI Backup NOW! 4.0, FirstBackup online backup service, or just plain CD-R discs copied manually).
· Another setup wizard should appear, this one allowing you to customize ezScriptWriter settings. This utility is called “Setup Wizard” and can be run at any time by the ADMINISTRATOR to reset or reconfigure you settings.
· Follow the prompts, paying close attention to file paths. At the minimum, one provider name must be entered at the “user's screen.” Currently, there is a maximum of 10 assigned users (some users can share a guest account however).
· Once the wizard has finished, you are ready to start ezScriptWriter
